Money raised by the Friends of Horseshoe Park  goes back into Horseshoe Park.  Some projects are general in nature and others are very specific.  Each project must be approved by the FOHP Board of Directors and money tracked (both income and expense) to that project.

The current list of projects is below.   Donations and sponsorship’s are accepted for any ongoing project.

Rich Fergusson Memorial Hitching rail This project installed a hitching post and memorial plaque in the memory of Rich Fergusson at the HPEC community arena. Completed
HPEC Flag Pole This project was initiated through community interest to install a flag pole and US Flag at HPEC and culminated in a dedication of the new flagpole during Roots N’ Boots 2014. Completed
Roots N’ Boots Queen Pageant and Royalty Court This project was organized and is being executed to support the  Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Royalty, including provided funds to purchase items for RnB Royalty Court.    This project operates from a separate account. Ongoing
Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek This project is to continue the successful Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek event, the inaugural event of which was in 2011.   Find our more about this event here.  This project operates from a separate account. Ongoing
Trunk or Treat Horse Costume Contest This project is in support of the Town of Queen Creek’s Trunk or Treat event.  We, in partnership with Friends of 4H, are hosting a Horse Costume Contest as part of Trunk or Treat.   The official Town of Queen Creek Trunk or Treat page is here for all the event details. FOHP Scholarships This project provides two scholarships to Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Youth Volunteers. Ongoing
Capital Improvement Program This three year project is intended to raise $150,000 for a significant capital improvement at HPEC, specifically relating to increasing the parks economic impact on the Town of Queen Creek.  This project operates from a separate account.   NEW Ongoing
Obstacle Course This project is in the proposal preparation stage.  The intent is to install an equestrian obstacle course within the Community Arena fenced area, north of the round pen.   NEW Ongoing
Adaptive Special Interest This project, in conjunction with the Town of Queen Creek, provides a farm and rodeo inspired Adaptive Special Interest program through the Town of Queen Creek Park and Recreation.   NEW Ongoing
